This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancelling bookings and receiving refunds on Gangasagar Car Booking (gscarbooking.com). Please read this policy carefully before making a booking.

1. Cancellation Process

To cancel a booking, you must contact us through one of the following channels:

Please provide your Booking Reference Number and registered phone number when requesting a cancellation. All cancellation requests are reviewed and processed manually by our admin team.

Note: Cancellations cannot be made through the website or app directly. You must contact us via phone or WhatsApp.

2. Cancellation Terms

Cancellation eligibility and applicable charges are determined based on when the cancellation request is received relative to the scheduled pickup date and time:

  • More than 48 hours before pickup: Full refund of the amount paid (no cancellation charge).
  • 24 to 48 hours before pickup: 75% refund of the amount paid.
  • 12 to 24 hours before pickup: 50% refund of the amount paid.
  • Less than 12 hours before pickup: No refund. The booking amount is forfeited.
  • No-show (failure to appear at pickup point): No refund.

These timelines are guidelines. Final decisions on cancellations and refund amounts are at the discretion of the Gangasagar Car Booking admin team.

3. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days from the date of cancellation approval.
  • Refunds are credited back to the original payment method used during booking (UPI, card, net banking, etc.).
  • The actual time for the refund to appear in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider (typically 3-10 business days after we initiate the refund).
  • Refunds are processed through Razorpay’s refund system.

4. Partial Payment Bookings

For bookings made with partial (advance) payment:

  • The cancellation and refund policy applies only to the amount actually paid.
  • If the advance payment is below the minimum cancellation charge, no refund will be issued.
  • The remaining unpaid balance is automatically waived upon cancellation.

5. Non-Refundable Scenarios

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • No-show by the customer at the designated pickup point.
  • Cancellation requested less than 12 hours before the scheduled pickup.
  • Trip already in progress or completed.
  • Violation of our Terms and Conditions by the customer.
  • False or misleading booking information provided by the customer.

6. Company-Initiated Cancellations

In rare cases, we may need to cancel a booking due to:

  • Vehicle breakdown or mechanical failure.
  • Driver unavailability due to illness or emergency.
  • Natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, or government-imposed restrictions.
  • Ferry service disruptions affecting the route.

In all cases of company-initiated cancellations, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid, regardless of the cancellation timeline. We will also make every effort to arrange an alternative vehicle or reschedule your trip at no additional cost.

7. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for cancellations or delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, floods, cyclones, epidemics, pandemics, war, civil unrest, government orders, ferry disruptions, or road blockages. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule your trip or process a full refund.

8. Disputes

If you disagree with a cancellation or refund decision, please contact us to discuss the matter. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly. Unresolved disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India.
